Innovation showcase event to launch new funding opportunity offering awards of up to £20,000 for NHS and care organisations
Health Innovation East Midlands and Health Innovation West Midlands will showcase nine innovations as part of an exclusive event for its Grow Digital Midlands Health programme.
Taking place on Thursday 10th September, 11:00am-12:00pm this online event will spotlight the innovators’ part of 2026 cohort and will launch an enabling funding opportunity offering awards of up to £20,000 to health and care organisations to support the adoption of one of these innovations.
Grow Digital Health Midlands supports UK healthcare innovators to develop and scale impactful innovations that address some of today’s most pressing challenges.
To ensure the innovations we support are relevant and address known challenges across local health and care services, we work closely with Midlands healthcare stakeholders to identify priority themes. For 2026, these are focused on enhancing NHS productivity and communication through:
- Releasing time to care and support our workforce
- Increasing productivity, through initiatives such as
- DNA (did not attend) identification, easy rescheduling and cancellations
- Demand and capacity planning
- Intelligent rostering and demand prediction
- Enabling patient self-management in the community
- Building capacity for neighbourhood health, bringing care closer to home
