Appreciating Health and Care resources – one year on!

Published on 29 April 2025

Appreciating Health and Care – what has been going on since the launch in April last year?

It’s been a busy year since the launch of our Appreciating Health and Care resource, created in partnership with Appreciating People and Aqua, From hosting webinars and workshops, to producing blogs and podcasts, the resource has been shared far and wide. (We have gathered together these activities for you to access and use below.)

The book is a practical guide for the health and social care sector, enabling professionals from across the UK to adopt an appreciative inquiry approach in the workplace.

Daniel Hodgkiss, Assistant Programme Manager at HIWM and co-author of the resource said, “Appreciating Health and Care is facilitating a wealth of conversations to support staff, patients and their families in health and care settings. It is helping to shape local, regional and national programmes, educate and skill up the next generation of practitioners, and giving us all a platform to champion asset-based healthcare.

Not only do I feel privileged to be part of a special community wanting to use and explore appreciative inquiry, but it also now shapes me both professionally and personally; helping me to give focus to growth, resiliency and sustainable improvement.”
